Services

From design to evidence-based decision making

Expert support to improve the effectiveness of health interventions

Program Design

  • Who is this for? This service is for hospitals, health systems, and organizations that are at the program design, or proposal development phase.
  • How I can help you? I help you embed evaluation into the design phase — not as an afterthought, but as a core strategy for building stronger interventions. Here is how:

What does it involve?

Context Analysis

Assess the landscape and engage community voices early so your design reflects real-world constraints and priorities.

  • Document and literature review
  • Interviews with your team and key stakeholders

Logic Model & Theory of Change Development

Build a visual blueprint of how and why your program creates change — linking resources to measurable outcomes.

  • Facilitated discussions
  • Document and literature review
  • Stakeholder input

Performance Measurement Frameworks

Define success and measure progress using real-time data and clear Key Performance Indicators, using Results-Based Management (RBM) principles.

  • Workshop-style sessions
  • Targeted literature scan for relevant indicators

Knowledge & Learning Plans

Develop a structured plan to share the right data with the right people, fostering continuous improvement.

  • Brainstorming sessions
  • Use of visual tools to map stakeholders’ information needs

End-to-End Program Evaluation & Learning

  • Who is this for? This service is for hospitals, health systems, and organizations that are beyond the design phase and already implementing their program.
  • How I can help you? I provide full-cycle Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) — also referred to as Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) — helping teams generate actionable insights, strengthen performance, and foster continuous learning.

What does it involve?

Ask the Right Questions

I help you identify the most relevant, actionable questions based on your program’s goals, timeline, and stage — a critical first step that shapes everything else.

Select the Right Evaluation Design

I guide you in choosing the most appropriate approach — whether theory-based, developmental, economic evaluation, participatory, or experimental — to match your context and constraints.

Collect & Analyze Data

I use Qualitative and Quantitative Research methods and economic evaluation tailored to your needs — from interviews and focus groups to document reviews and case studies — to build a comprehensive picture.

Synthesize & Interpret Findings

I turn data into usable insights and facilitate reflection sessions to ensure results inform decision-making across your team.

Engage Stakeholders

I support inclusive engagement — working across disciplines and roles to ensure your findings are understood and actionable by everyone involved.

Manage the Process

I oversee the evaluation from planning to delivery, ensuring quality, alignment, and collaboration every step of the way.

Design & Evaluation of AI-Enabled Healthcare Programs

  • Who is this for? Senior leaders, clinical innovators, and digital health teams responsible for designing, or implementing AI-enabled healthcare programs who need to move from technical concepts to clearly defined, evaluable programs that can support real decisions.
  • How I can help you? AI has significant potential in healthcare, but adoption remains slow. One identified barrier  is the lack of comprehensive monitoring and evaluation frameworks that focus narrowly on technical performance.I help teams use frameworks that account not only for accuracy, but also for implementation, clinical workflows, trust, equity, organizational learning, and ethics.

Common challenge and how I can help

AI-enabled programs are difficult to articulate

AI-enabled initiatives span clinical care, data, infrastructure, governance, and involve clinicians, patients, researchers, technologists, and leaders who often speak different `languages´. I act as a cultural translator and help integrate these elements into a clear program logic model that makes the work legible and evaluable.

AI governance is unclear or still emerging

I help teams articulate governance as part of the program itself — clarifying what is already in place, what decisions can be made now, and where the gaps are.

It’s unclear what should be measured — and why

I develop fit-for-purpose indicators that connect AI development and use to outcomes such as clinical decision-making, care processes, equity, and organizational learning.

The Strategic Brief

  • Who is this for? This 45-60 minute session is for executives, program leaders, and innovators in healthcare, public health, community services, and the social impact sector — especially those preparing proposals, concept notes, or investment cases.

This session draws on content I presented at:

  • Barcelona Supercomputing Centre, AHEAD project (2025)
  • All Women and Union for the Mediterranean (2025)
  • Universidad Autónomo de Barcelona (2025)
  • The London Business School (2025).

What it is

Before funding or implementation begins, your initiative must pass a “logic test” — a formal or informal judgment of whether your project makes sense, is viable, and is worth backing. This strategic session helps your team sharpen their thinking, strengthen proposal logic, and anticipate how funders and internal decision-makers will assess risk, value, and alignment.

What your team will learn

  • The Decision-Maker’s Lens: Understand how funders and executives assess project logic and risk
  • Strategic Communication: Move from describing activities to articulating impact
  • My RECAP© Framework: A practical tool for clear, evidence-informed proposals
    • R – Risk
    • E – Evidence
    • C – Context
    • A – Assumptions
    • P – People

Extras

I also introduce an cost-effectiveness analysis tool — the Cost-Effectiveness Plane — to help you consider how economic value might be demonstrated, if relevant to your proposal.
